Booking Terms

Version: 1.0
Effective date: 6 November 2026
Last updated: 6 November 2026

1. Scope

These terms apply to bookings made with The Forbidden Fruit Bar Ltd trading as TFFHastings through the App, booking-system.tffhastings.co.uk or another channel that incorporates them. Event tickets, private hire, Christmas bookings, paid packages and third-party ticketing may have separate terms shown before purchase or confirmation.

2. Making a booking

You must provide accurate contact details and select the correct booking type, date, time and guest count. A submission is only a request until our system issues a booking reference and confirmation. Availability shown before confirmation can change.

The person making the booking must have authority to act for the group and is responsible for sharing relevant terms with guests.

3. Arrival and table duration

Please arrive at the confirmed time. Tell us as soon as possible if you are delayed. We may release a table or space where a group is materially late and has not contacted us, particularly where another booking follows.

Unless a specific duration is stated, operational planning may use a standard two-hour slot. This does not guarantee exclusive use or prevent reasonable venue management. Contact us before booking if you need a longer stay or accessibility adjustment.

4. Guest numbers and amendments

Guest numbers must not exceed the confirmed capacity. Use the amendment feature or contact us promptly if details change. An amendment is effective only when acknowledged by the booking system or our team. A requested change may be refused if availability, safety, licensing or service requirements cannot accommodate it.

5. Cancellations and non-attendance

Use the App cancellation control where available or contact us promptly. A cancellation is effective only when acknowledged. Any deposit, prepayment, ticket or package-specific cancellation and refund terms disclosed before confirmation also apply.

We may restrict future bookings after repeated non-attendance, deliberately inaccurate information or serious misuse, acting reasonably and considering the circumstances.

6. Deposits, prepayments and refunds

Most ordinary table requests may not require payment, but a particular event, group, package or private-hire arrangement may require a deposit or prepayment. The amount, due date, refund conditions and any minimum spend will be disclosed before you commit.

Nothing removes statutory rights. Where a dated leisure service is exempt from a general cooling-off right, this will not affect rights for a service that is not provided with reasonable care and skill or is cancelled by us.

7. Dietary requirements and allergens

Where the booking asks for dietary information, select every relevant category, provide a quantity for each selection and add clear details for allergies, intolerances or other requirements. “No dietary requirements” must not be selected with another dietary option.

Information must be accurate and updated if it changes. For a serious allergy, contact us directly before attending. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment and App submission is not a substitute for speaking with the venue. We use special-category dietary information with explicit consent where required and normally remove or anonymise it within 30 days after the booking unless an incident or legal need requires longer.

8. Children, alcohol and age-restricted events

The App is not restricted to adults, but licensing and age restrictions still apply. We may request proof of age and refuse alcohol sales or entry to age-restricted areas or events. Adults remain responsible for children in their group.

9. Conduct, accessibility and safety

Guests must follow lawful staff instructions and venue rules. We may refuse service or require a person to leave for threatening, discriminatory, abusive, unsafe or unlawful conduct, intoxication, drug use, property damage or serious disruption.

Tell us in advance about access needs so we can discuss reasonable adjustments. Emergency, licensing and safety decisions remain with venue management.

10. Changes or cancellation by us

We may make reasonable operational changes or cancel where required by safety, licensing, staffing, equipment failure, severe weather, events outside our control or insufficient availability. We will contact the booking holder using the details provided.

If we cancel a paid service, applicable refund and statutory rights will be honoured. We are not responsible for unrelated travel or accommodation costs unless the law requires otherwise.

11. Private hire and enquiries

Submitting a private-hire enquiry does not reserve a date or create a contract. A hire becomes binding only when the proposal, price, deposit, capacity, timings and specific terms are confirmed through the relevant management process.

12. Booking communications and privacy

We use contact details for confirmations, reminders, amendments, verification and service messages. These are not promotional marketing. The App Privacy Policy or Website Privacy and Terms explains processing, retention and rights.

Do not put full payment-card details, passwords, verification codes or unnecessary sensitive information in booking notes.

13. Liability and consumer rights

We provide services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. We are not responsible for unforeseeable losses or events outside our reasonable control.

14. Law, complaints and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without removing mandatory rights available where you live. Contact us first so we can try to resolve a complaint.
